I'M MIA SAKAI—
MULTIDISCIPLINARY DESIGNER,
ART DIRECTOR + ALL-AROUND CREATIVE.
CALI BORN / NYC BRED / CHI CURRENTLY
I work across several creative fields as an independent designer, art director and marketing consultant. I combine multiple skill sets from creative direction and design; marketing ideation and implementation; event concepting and execution; to plain ole get-in-the-mud-and-get-it-done gumption.
Each project is an exercise in creative thinking and hands-on execution, and I enjoy every stage of the process from the crib to the grave. I find collaborative work truly rewarding, and greatly value the cross section of ideas, personalities and objectives when building towards a common goal.
I'm a solid devotee of fresh manicures, the entrepreneurial flame, a good jean fit, and authentic adventures abroad. I hope to one day settle in Barcelona with my imaginary dog and real life husband.
